IP Voice for SME's

service icon

At the heart of the award winning aql® IP voice service lies the aql® network. aql® operate five UK Points of Presence (POP's). This underpins our service stability and is the foundation for value added service.

Our Focus

aql® specialises in servicing the needs of national multi-site clients, typically with 50 to 1000 employees. We recognise that at this mid-span of the SME definition, there's more to telephony than calls-and-lines.

We adopt a consultative approach to ensure that all requirements are covered. In many instances, we will prescribe an end-to-end solution including connectivity into the aql® network and also between each customer site.

Channel Partners

aql's specialism is as an "enabler". We provide the backbone circuit and the inbound and outbound raw telephony. We then ensure that we architect a solution which is scaleable and reliable. To ensure responsiveness to our clients needs, aql® work in association with delivery partners to manage CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) configuration and end-solutions. We have partners countrywide, specialising in installation of enterprise solutions. This means that our partners can ensure that your equipment is configured or modified to connect into the aql® network and also handle your day to day support needs. aql® simply send you a competitive monthly bill for your voice and data usage.

Unlike many carriers, aql® recognise that multi-site businesses need a solution, not a product. We help you build your own enterprise solution, from raw, high capacity outbound IP telephony for your callcentre through to a fully managed resilient helpline service. From IVR to remote call recording.

The aql Network

. To get the most out of aql®, we connect businesses into the aql® voice network via either a dedicated fibre connection providing your business with both voice and data or via a DSL or SDSL circuit, including LLU (where available).

aql's national network, operating multiple sites in Leeds and London (and soon Bristol, Glasgow) allow us to present local access circuits at competitive pricing in the London and Yorkshire region.

Inbound Solutions

Simply choose, in real-time, from any of aql's 12 million available numbers via our easy to use portal or port your number into the aql network. aql® operates porting agreements with most UK telecommunications operators.
  • Low cost numbering - Map 100's of numbers to your callcentre or office from as little as £2 per month per number
  • Add or remove numbers and virtual lines in minutes
  • Point numbers directly to PBX's (SIP Endpoint) or to individual handsets (SIP Register)
  • Send direct to your asterisk server or aql unbundled mobile

Outbound Calling

aql® has connectivity directly into many tier-1 carriers for voice and messaging or paging. As a result of these direct relationship, we can leverage competitive pricing for UK and overseas termination. All aql® interconnects are fully functional C7 TDM interconnects - we do not use IP interconnects between carriers. This means that there is no inter-carrier degradation of call quality.
